Iran, Egypt Urge Regional Action to Halt Israeli Aggression in Gaza

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, held a phone conversation Wednesday night to address escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Iran (IMNA) - The two diplomats emphasized the urgent need for regional collaboration to end Israeli aggression and secure a ceasefire in Gaza.

Araghchi highlighted the importance of a collective initiative by regional nations to immediately halt Israel's attacks on Gaza, describing it as essential for addressing broader regional crises. Both ministers expressed grave concern over the instability caused by ongoing Israeli operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, as well as continued attacks on Yemen.

The discussion also touched upon upcoming indirect talks between Iran and the United States in Muscat. Both sides agreed on the necessity of intensified diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent a wider regional conflict.
