Iranian President Stresses Commitment to Nuclear Achievements Amid Unveiling of New Technologies

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed his administration's stance on preserving the nation's nuclear achievements during a ceremony unveiling new advancements in nuclear technology on Monday.

Iran (IMNA) - Addressing the audience, Pezeshkian emphasized that while Iran remains open to dialogue, it will not compromise on its scientific and technological progress, asserting that negotiations must be conducted with "dignity and pride."

Highlighting the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, Pezeshkian reiterated that the Islamic Republic is not pursuing nuclear weapons. "We are not looking for an atomic bomb," he stated, referencing the official stance of Iran's Supreme Leader against nuclear armament. "You can verify a thousand times that we don't have atomic bombs, but we need nuclear science and nuclear energy."

The president also paid tribute to Iran's martyred scientists, noting that over 23,000 Iranian intellectuals and experts have been assassinated. He accused adversaries of targeting these individuals to hinder Iran's progress. "They assassinate our good people, unaware that there are many capable individuals in our country who will continue paving the way for progress," he said.

Pezeshkian addressed threats from foreign powers, asserting Iran’s readiness to defend itself against aggression. "We are not looking for war, but we will stand strong against any aggression with the knowledge and power our scientists have created. The more they harm us, the more powerful we will become," he declared.

On regional relations, Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s commitment to peace and brotherhood with neighboring countries. "We consider all our neighboring countries as brothers and want to live with them in peace," he said, rejecting claims that Iran is a source of instability in the region. He questioned whether Iran engages in destructive activities such as bombing cities or terrorizing populations, contrasting its stance with actions by other powers.

Concluding his remarks, Pezeshkian underscored Iran's resilience against foreign interference. "Iran has never been a colony of foreigners because its people have not and will not allow such behavior," he affirmed.
