Iran's President Criticizes U.S. Policies, Calls for Equal Dialogue

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian criticized the United States for humiliating Iran and the global community, asserting that Washington's call for negotiations contradicts its actions.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran Speaking during a meeting with the minister of science, research, and technology in Tehran on Saturday, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran seeks dialogue based on equality.

Referring to the U.S.'s "maximum pressure" policy, Pezeshkian stated, “The Islamic Republic wants dialogue from an equal position; not that they want to negotiate with Iran on the one hand and threaten it on the other.” He questioned the logic of threatening while proposing negotiations, adding that America’s behavior undermines its calls for talks.

Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s readiness for indirect negotiations with Washington but stressed that threats and sanctions must cease for genuine progress. He urged internal unity among Iranians to counter foreign conspiracies, emphasizing collaboration under Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s leadership to overcome challenges.
