Iranian, Egyptian FMs Discuss Regional Escalation, Gaza Crisis in Phone Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty late on Saturday, exchanging views on bilateral ties, regional developments, and Israeli aggression in Gaza.

Iran (IMNA) - Araghchi condemned Israel’s resumed attacks on Gaza, civilian casualties, and the blockade of humanitarian aid, which he described as violations of the ceasefire agreement. He urged the international community to halt Israel’s “arson” in the region.

The Iranian diplomat also criticized U.S. and British military actions in Yemen, recalling the Yemeni people’s historical resistance to foreign aggression. He emphasized that pursuing war in Yemen is “doomed to failure”.

Egypt’s Abdelatty expressed concern over escalating tensions in Gaza, Yemen, and Lebanon, stressing the need for diplomatic consultations to prevent broader regional instability.

Both ministers agreed to maintain ongoing consultations on regional developments.
