Iran Reaffirms Peaceful Nuclear Program, Rejects Negotiations Under Pressure

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reiterated that the country’s nuclear energy program is entirely peaceful and will remain so, firmly rejecting any negotiations conducted under pressure or intimidation.

Iran (IMNA) - In a recent statement, Araghchi emphasized, "We will not negotiate under pressure or intimidation. We do not even consider such negotiations, regardless of the subject. Negotiation is different from bullying and issuing diktats."

He highlighted Iran's ongoing diplomatic efforts with both European and non-European nations, stating that discussions are taking place with three European countries, as well as with Russia and China. These talks aim to build trust and enhance transparency regarding Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of what he termed "unlawful sanctions."

Reflecting on past interactions with the United States, Araghchi warned that a respectful approach yields respect in return, while threats provoke resistance. He stated, "Every action inevitably provokes a reaction," underscoring Iran's stance against coercive tactics in international relations.

This declaration comes amid heightened tensions and ongoing discussions about Iran's nuclear ambitions, as well as the broader geopolitical landscape involving the United States and its allies.
