Iran Condemns Gaza Relocation Plan as Continuation of Genocide

Iran has strongly condemned the proposal to forcibly relocate Palestinians from Gaza, labeling it a continuation of genocide through political means.

Iran (IMNA) - Esma'eel Baghaei, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, emphasized this stance while discussing Iran's efforts to convene a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

In a televised interview, Baghaei highlighted the purpose of requesting an OIC meeting: to alert the organization to the ongoing threat of genocide against Palestinians, particularly in Gaza. He noted that the OIC, as a pivotal Islamic body, has historically prioritized the Palestinian cause, focusing on securing the right to self-determination and freedom from occupation.

Baghaei also underscored the need to address the dangerous developments in the West Bank. He emphasized that the current crisis facing Palestinians, which has been met with resistance during the prolonged conflict, is now manifesting differently through political tools.

Iran, as a key member of the OIC and a long-standing supporter of the Palestinian cause, has proposed the meeting to address these pressing issues. The country has previously initiated similar gatherings at both the heads of state and foreign minister levels. The relocation plan, seen as a continuation of genocide by political means, has prompted Iran to call for collective action against what it views as a dangerous conspiracy threatening regional stability and international peace.
