Iran (IMNA) - During a meeting with Turkey’s Ambassador to Tehran, Hicabi Kırlangıç, Heidari emphasized the importance of avoiding “false statements and unrealistic analyses” that could strain bilateral ties.
“The common interests of both countries and the sensitive conditions in the region necessitate avoiding false statements and unrealistic analyses that could lead to disagreements and tensions in bilateral relations,” Heidari stated, referring to Fidan’s comments on Iran’s regional policies. He also highlighted Israel’s “continued aggression” as the primary threat to regional stability and urged Islamic nations to counter Israeli actions in Palestine and Syria.
In response, Ambassador Kırlangıç reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to maintaining strong ties with Iran. “We believe the two countries should have close cooperation to promote bilateral ties, regional interactions, and address existing threats,” he said, pledging to convey Iran’s concerns to Ankara.
Despite these tensions, both sides reiterated the importance of preserving their historically significant relationship.
