Iran Rejects U.S. Claims of Arms Support to Yemeni Forces

Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations has firmly dismissed the United States' allegations regarding the provision of arms and financial support to Yemeni resistance forces, labeling these claims as "baseless." The mission emphasized Iran's consistent stance in favor of peace and stability in Yemen.

Iran (IMNA) - In a letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the UN Security Council on Thursday, Iran's mission stated that the U.S. cannot deflect responsibility for its complicity in Israel's actions by blaming Iran for regional tensions, as reported by Press TV. The letter highlighted that while the U.S. supplies weapons and financial aid to Israel, facilitating its aggressive actions against oppressed populations, Iran remains committed to international law and UN resolutions.

Tehran maintains a "unified and stable" position on the Yemen crisis, advocating for a resolution through a comprehensive political process that respects Yemen's independence and territorial integrity. The Iranian mission pointed out that recent military actions by the U.S., UK, and Israel against Yemen violate international law and the country's sovereignty.

The Iranian envoy reiterated that since the onset of the Yemen crisis, Iran has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, a ceasefire, and meaningful dialogue among Yemeni factions without foreign interference. The future of Yemen, according to Iran, should be determined by its own people through diplomatic means rather than military interventions or unfounded accusations. ‌‌‌
