Iran Government Formulates Plan to Counter U.S. Pressure Campaign

The administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian has an "active plan" to counter the United States' "maximum pressure" campaign, according to spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani.

Iran (IMNA) _Mohajerani made these comments to reporters following a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday.

Emphasizing that the U.S. campaign "will get nowhere," she stated that Iran anticipated this policy from the U.S. government.

According to Mohajerani, the administration aims to stimulate the economy and overcome challenges with public support, focusing on the private sector, domestic capabilities, and relations with neighboring countries to mitigate the pressure policy's effects.

She added that the private and industrial sectors are improved compared to past decades, and knowledge-based companies are active.

Mohajerani stressed that Iranians are open to negotiations but will not succumb to bullying.

President Donald Trump, who began his second term on January 20, announced the restoration of the "maximum pressure" campaign, a policy previously applied during his first term after withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018.
