Iran, Pakistan Vow to Strengthen Ties in High-Level Tehran Meeting

In a significant diplomatic engagement in Tehran, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Amina Baloch reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.

Iran (IMNA) - The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Deputy Foreign Ministers’ Summit on Monday.

During the discussions, Araghchi underscored Iran's dedication to strengthening ties with its neighbors, particularly Pakistan, and emphasized the necessity of ongoing diplomatic efforts. He reiterated President Masoud Pezeshkian’s strategic vision for fostering deeper regional cooperation.

The two diplomats addressed various shared opportunities and challenges, focusing on critical issues such as border security, drug trafficking, and illegal migration. Baloch expressed Pakistan's commitment to bolstering cooperation with Iran in tackling these mutual concerns.

Additionally, the meeting included discussions on significant geopolitical developments affecting the region, including the situations in Gaza, Afghanistan, Syria, and Lebanon.
