Pezeshkian Celebrates Razi Vaccine Institute's 100 Years of Innovation in Vaccine Development

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised the Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute for its pivotal role in fulfilling the country's vaccine needs.

Iran (IMNA) - During a message commemorating the institute's 100th anniversary, Pezeshkian highlighted its status as a "reliable and basic science center," emphasizing its significant contributions to vaccine provision in Iran.

The president noted that the institute has successfully produced a variety of vaccines, including those for livestock and poultry, as well as seven vaccines for human use. Among its notable achievements is the development of the world's first injectable-inhaled COVID-19 vaccine. Pezeshkian described the institute's work as a source of pride for all Iranians.

Earlier, he acknowledged the advancements made by Iran’s health system compared to other countries, attributing this progress to the dedicated efforts of individuals within the Iranian health sector.
