Iran's Armed Forces to Conduct Major Military Drills

Iran's Armed Forces are set to initiate a series of powerful combined and joint military exercises in the coming days, as announced by Major General Gholam-Ali Rashid, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.

Iran (IMNA) - These drills will take place across various regions of the country and in the Persian Gulf, focusing on enhancing both defensive and offensive capabilities[1][3].

The exercises, named Payambar-e Azam (Great Prophet-19), will involve intelligence, defensive, and offensive units from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Basij Force. This year's military maneuvers are designed to address new threats and will follow a combined format to improve coordination among the Armed Forces.

General Rashid emphasized that these drills are a routine part of Iran's military calendar, with approximately 30 large-scale exercises conducted annually. The primary objectives include testing readiness, enhancing operational synergy, and effectively utilizing new military equipment to counter potential enemy threats.
