Iran (IMNA) - Pezeshkian stated that Iran's foreign policy prioritizes expanding relationships with Muslim and neighboring nations, highlighting the importance of unity among these countries to counteract the "criminal" actions of the Israeli regime, which he accused of exploiting regional differences to cause harm.
During their discussions, Pezeshkian underscored the longstanding and cordial relations between Iran and Oman, noting that further development of these ties is crucial for Iran. He announced that both countries have agreed to convene a session of their joint economic committee in Muscat soon, aiming to accelerate the implementation of previous agreements and establish new collaborations.
Busaidi reciprocated by affirming that Oman's relationship with Iran is built on mutual trust and goodwill, advocating for the enhancement of these ties. He reiterated that strengthening cooperation with Iran is a fundamental principle for Oman.
Earlier in the day, Busaidi met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, where they discussed shared regional concerns and the collective need for stability in Syria.
