Iranian Foreign Minister Visits China for Strategic Consultations

Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, has embarked on a significant visit to China from December 27 to 28, with the primary goal of engaging in regional and international consultations, as well as bilateral discussions with Chinese officials.

Iran (IMNA) - This trip follows up on the strategic cooperation agreement between Iran and China, aimed at enhancing their political trust and collaboration.

During his visit, Araghchi will meet with key Chinese authorities to discuss the implementation of the 25-year comprehensive cooperation plan that both nations signed. This partnership, according to Araghchi, is built on a solid foundation and spans various domains, reinforcing mutual solidarity.

Araghchi emphasized that Iran and China share common interests not only in bilateral and regional issues but also on the international stage. Both countries are committed to multilateralism and collective cooperation, striving for global prosperity. They have been collaborating closely within multilateral frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS.

The visit is taking place at the official invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, highlighting the strong relations between Iran and China across multiple fields. This marks Araghchi's first official visit to China as part of the 14th Iranian administration. During his stay, he will exchange views on regional and international developments, alongside discussions on the comprehensive cooperation document between Iran and China.
