Iran Condemns Israeli Attacks on Yemeni Infrastructure

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, has issued a strong condemnation of recent Israeli airstrikes targeting key Yemeni infrastructure, including the Sanaa power plant, Ras al-Issa fuel tanks, and the port city of Hudeydah.

Iran (IMNA) - Baghaei described these attacks as a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, asserting that they have resulted in significant destruction of Yemen's civilian facilities.

He emphasized that the actions of the Israeli regime are conducted with the full support of the United States, which he labeled an accomplice to these "lawless" acts. Baghaei praised the solidarity shown by the Yemeni people towards the oppressed Palestinian population and called on the international community and Islamic nations to fulfill their legal and moral obligations to halt Israeli aggression. He urged for accountability against Israel for its actions, particularly regarding war crimes as defined by the International Criminal Court.

The Iranian response comes in light of escalating tensions in the region, with Israel conducting strikes against Houthi military targets in Yemen following missile attacks aimed at its territory.
