Iran (IMNA) - During a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Pezeshkian declared, "The Makran coast is the future of sustainable development in Iran," highlighting the region's potential as a cornerstone for the nation's long-term growth.
Pezeshkian pointed out that until now, there has been no comprehensive macro plan to guide the development of Makran. He stated, "So far, we have not had a macro plan as a roadmap for the development of Makran," and insisted that it is essential to establish such a framework for this expansive coastal area.
He noted that various governmental bodies have undertaken initiatives aligned with their specific missions but stressed that "the Makran coastal areas have been the most important launchpad for sustainable and long-term development in Iran." The president underscored that the future of Iran significantly relies on the progress made in this region.
To support this initiative, Pezeshkian confirmed that coordination has been established to engage highly skilled experts in crafting the Makran development roadmap, asserting, "The necessary coordination was made to use highly professional experts in preparing the Makran development roadmap."
