Iranian Foreign Minister Visits Turkey to Discuss Syria Developments

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Ankara on Monday morning following discussions with high-ranking Syrian officials. His visit comes after a meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus on Sunday afternoon, where he emphasized Tehran's unwavering support for Syria in its fight against terrorism.

Iran (IMNA) - During his time in Turkey, Araghchi is scheduled to meet with senior Turkish officials to address the current situation in Syria, which is a key focus of his discussions. After his meeting with President Assad, Araghchi described their conversation as "useful, frank, and friendly," highlighting the challenges faced in the region but praising Assad's courage and spirit.

"The current situation in the region and Syria was discussed," Araghchi stated, noting that "it is natural that the conditions are difficult." He also warned that terrorist groups may believe they have a new opportunity to act but assured that they would be confronted decisively.
