Syrian President Bashar Assad has asserted that his nation can successfully combat terrorism with the support of its allies and friends. In a recent telephone conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Assad emphasized Syria's determination to defend its territorial integrity against terrorist threats.

Iran (IMNA) - According to a statement from Assad's office, he conveyed that Syria is equipped to defeat and eradicate terrorists and their supporters, stating, "Syria continues defending its territorial integrity against terrorists and their supports and is able with the help of its friends and allies to defeat and destroy them".

The UAE President expressed his country's support for Syria in its fight against terrorism, underscoring the importance of protecting Syria's sovereignty and stability. This dialogue comes amid escalating violence in the region, as Takfiri militants led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham have launched a significant offensive in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, capturing several areas.

Since the onset of the civil war in March 2011, Syria has faced ongoing foreign-backed militancy, with the government accusing Western states and regional allies of supporting terrorist groups that contribute to the chaos in the country .
