Iran's Parliament Speaker Affirms National Resilience Amidst Foreign Leadership Changes

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf declared that Iran remains unaffected by the outcomes of foreign presidential elections, emphasizing the nation's resilience in defending its interests.

Iran (IMNA) - During an open parliamentary session on Sunday, Qalibaf made his remarks shortly after Donald Trump was elected as the new president of the United States. He pointed out that there are "meaningful differences" in how U.S. presidents express hostility towards Iran, but he stressed that the core issue hinges on Iran's national power.

"The main point is that what determines the enemy's behavior towards us is the national power and the authoritative conduct and intelligence of the Islamic Republic based on its approach of revolutionary rationality," Qalibaf stated. He asserted that changes in foreign leadership will not diminish Iran's capacity to secure its interests, provided that the country relies on its domestic strength and national resolve.

Furthermore, Qalibaf highlighted that Iran's internal power, derived from the nation's unwavering determination, compels world powers to take Iranian interests into account in their decision-making processes. He urged Iranian officials to bolster the country’s defensive capabilities and address economic challenges to enhance deterrence against external threats and pressures.
