UN Officials Denounce Allegations Justifying Israeli Actions, Call for Action Against Gaza Destruction

United Nations officials from the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory have strongly denied allegations that justify Israel's actions against Palestinians.

Iran (IMNA) _ During a UN briefing, Miloon Kothari and Chris Sidoti emphasized that "kids aren't terrorists," countering the regime's narrative used to rationalize attacks that have resulted in over 43,000 Palestinian deaths, including at least 13,319 children since October 2023.

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the region, called for international action to halt what she termed the "complete destruction" of Gaza, asserting that Israel's actions may constitute genocide. Albanese criticized the U.S. for enabling Israel's military actions and questioned its right to a UN seat. In response, Israeli UN envoy Danny Danon labeled her remarks as anti-Semitic and called for her resignation.
