Iran Issues Strong Warning to Zionist Regime During BRICS Summit Meeting

In a significant address during a meeting with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a stark warning to the Zionist regime.

Iran (IMNA) - He stated that any aggressive action against the Islamic Republic of Iran would elicit a "decisive and unbelievable response" from Tehran. This statement underscores Iran's commitment to defending its sovereignty amid ongoing regional tensions.

Pezeshkian emphasized that he entered the presidential race to enhance social harmony within Iran and to foster stronger international relations. He criticized the Zionist regime for disrupting these efforts, particularly referencing the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh, who was an official guest of Iran at the time. "Hoping to establish a ceasefire in Gaza, Iran exercised restraint in the face of the Zionist regime's terrorist crimes," he remarked, noting that continued aggression from Israel has compelled Iran to reconsider its stance.

The Iranian president reiterated that while Iran does not seek to escalate conflict in the region, it will not tolerate ongoing violations. "If the Zionist regime makes a mistake and commits an action against the Islamic Republic of Iran, it will receive a decisive and unbelievable response," Pezeshkian stated, adding that Iran welcomes any initiatives aimed at peace and stability.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed responded by acknowledging Iran's positive image in Ethiopia and expressed concern over developments in the region. He recognized the importance of BRICS as a platform for addressing global inequalities, emphasizing that institutions like BRICS play a crucial role in correcting these disparities.
