BRICS Emerges as a New Global Pole Against Western Dominance

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that BRICS is emerging as a significant global pole, uniting nations to challenge the prevailing Western order.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking at the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, Araghchi noted, "This is the first BRICS meeting in which we participate as an official member at the level of the head of state." He emphasized that BRICS countries are actively creating mechanisms to counteract Western dominance.

The summit, which commenced on Tuesday, marks Iran's inaugural participation as a permanent member of BRICS, a coalition of emerging economies including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Araghchi highlighted the group's commitment to developing strategies that promote a multipolar world, stating that many nations are eager to join BRICS, reflecting its growing influence in international affairs.
