IRGC Commander Ridicules US THAAD Delivery to Israel, Warns of Vulnerabilities

Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has dismissed the recent delivery of the THAAD missile defense system from the United States to Israel, asserting that it cannot guarantee the safety of the Israeli regime.

Iran (IMNA) - His remarks came during a large funeral for General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was martyred in Beirut by Israeli forces.

"Don't trust THAAD; you can't massacre but stay safe. We know your weaknesses," General Salami warned, addressing Israeli officials directly.

The United States announced last Sunday its decision to send the THAAD system to Israel, along with troops to operate it, as part of its ongoing military assistance to the Israeli regime. This move follows reports that Israel's Arrow anti-ballistic missile batteries underperformed during Iran's recent missile barrage on October 1, which involved over 180 ballistic missiles. Iranian officials claim that approximately 90% of these missiles successfully hit their military targets in occupied territories.

General Salami further stated, "If you attack any of our targets, whether in the region or in Iran, we will again hit you painfully." He emphasized that the previous missile attack on Israel was merely a warning and a demonstration of Iran's capabilities with minimal force.

The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel highlight the ongoing conflict and mutual threats in the region, with both sides preparing for potential future confrontations.
