Iran (IMNA) - Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made this assertion in a message of condolences on Saturday following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the longtime leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, who was assassinated in a massive Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut on Friday.
In his statement, the Leader declared five days of national mourning for the Hezbollah chief. He emphasized that the foundation established by Nasrallah in Lebanon and his influence on other centers of power will not diminish with his loss; rather, it will be strengthened by the blood of Nasrallah and other martyrs from the Beirut attack.
Describing Nasrallah as a great fighter, a religious scholar, and a wise political leader, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that he was martyred while planning to defend the defenseless people living in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut and their destroyed homes. He highlighted Nasrallah's decades-long struggle to defend the oppressed Palestinian people and their occupied territories.
“The blessing of martyrdom was his undeniable right after all these efforts,” the leader stated. He expressed that the Muslim world has lost a significant figure, while the resistance front has lost a prominent flag-bearer, and Hezbollah has lost a unique leader. However, he assured that the blessings from Nasrallah's decades of prudence and jihad will never be forgotten.
The Leader stressed that the evil Zionist regime has failed to achieve victory in this incident, asserting that Nasrallah was not merely an individual but a path and a school of thought that will continue.
