Ayatollah Khamenei Offers Condolences Following Tragic Mine Explosion in Tabas

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic mine explosion in Tabas, South Khorasan province.

Iran (IMNA) - In a message following the sad incident, which resulted in the deaths of several miners, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the need for maximum efforts to provide relief and rescue services to those affected.

“I offer my condolences to the families of these dear ones and the people of that area for the bitter and sad incident that occurred in a coal mine in Tabas, South Khorasan province, in which a number of workers were killed or injured,” the Leader stated. He instructed the relief and rescue teams, as well as government authorities, to do their utmost to mitigate the impact of this calamity.

At least 51 people were reported killed following a gas explosion in a coal mine in Iran's South Khorasan province. The incident occurred around 21:00 local time on Saturday in one of the mines located in Tabas city.

The Leader's message highlights the ongoing challenges faced by workers in hazardous industries and underscores the importance of safety measures and emergency response protocols in preventing such tragedies.
