Iran (IMNA) - The meeting took place in Tehran, where Berdimuhamedow arrived earlier in the day to hold high-level talks with Iranian officials. During their talks, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the potential for further cooperation between the two countries, including joint development projects such as a highway linking the two nations and the expansion of a shared gas pipeline.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed hope that the new administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian would continue to strengthen ties between the two countries. Berdimuhamedow also praised the efforts of the late President Ebrahim Raeisi in strengthening relations between the two nations.
The two leaders signed four cooperation documents in various fields, including gas and customs, during their meeting.
