Iranian parliament confirms all cabinet ministers in unanimous vote

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian convened the parliament on Wednesday to seek a vote of confidence for his proposed ministers.

Iran (IMNA) - The president expressed optimism that lawmakers will grant approval to all his ministerial picks during today's session.

The parliamentary review of the ministerial candidates began last Saturday and concluded on Tuesday. Pezeshkian submitted his list of ministerial picks to the Iranian parliament on August 11, nearly two weeks after his inauguration ceremony.

Before the start of today's session, Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of collaboration and cooperation between his administration and the parliament. He vowed to consider the lawmakers' advice on his decisions and called for unity, urging them to put aside their differences.

In a statement, Pezeshkian said, "I will consider parliament's pieces of advice on my decisions." He reiterated his commitment to working together with the parliament to move the country forward.
