Iran to Retaliate Against Israel for Assassination of Hamas Chief Haniyeh

In a statement released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Deputy Commander Brigadier General Ali Fadavi vowed that Iran will respond to the assassination of former Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran with a "stronger response" than before.

Iran (IMNA) - Fadavi condemned the Israeli regime for its "fake and child-killing" actions, stating that the regime will be punished more severely than before for its "great crime" against Haniyeh. The IRGC accused Israel of being responsible for the assassination, with the support of the United States.

The assassination of Haniyeh and his bodyguard on July 31 has been met with outrage from high-ranking Iranian officials, including Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who said that the Israeli regime has prepared the ground for harsh punishment for itself.

Earlier this month, political adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani wrote on social media that preparations have been made to severely punish the Israeli regime, which only understands the language of force. Shamkhani stated that the goal of Israel's actions is to seek war and make ceasefire negotiations fail.

The IRGC has begun legal, diplomatic, and media processes to prepare for severe punishment against Israel, according to Shamkhani.
