Israel Accused of Stealing Over 2,000 Palestinian Bodies, Desecrating Dignity of the Dead

In a shocking revelation, Israeli forces have been accused of stealing over 2,000 Palestinian bodies from cemeteries across the Gaza Strip, with reports suggesting that some corpses have been returned in an inhumane manner. The Gaza Government Media Office has condemned the Israeli military's actions, describing them as "genocidal" and a violation of human dignity.

Iran (IMNA) - According to the office, Israeli forces have kidnapped more than 2,000 bodies of martyrs from dozens of cemeteries in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war on October 7. The bodies were exhumed and taken to unknown locations, leaving families with no knowledge of their loved ones' fate.

The statement also highlighted that Israeli forces have desecrated the dignity of 89 martyrs, returning them as skeletons and decomposed corpses. Director of the Palestinian Civil Emergency Service in Khan Yunis, Yamen Abu Suleiman, revealed that his team received 80 bodies in 15 bags, each containing more than four martyrs wrapped in a single shroud.

Abu Suleiman condemned the Israeli military's actions, calling it a "war crime" and a "crime against humanity." The lack of information provided by Israeli forces about the bodies, including their names or where they were found or taken from, has added to the outrage.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported that an estimated 10,000 Palestinians remain missing or under the rubble in Gaza, including individuals abducted by Israeli forces and the bodies of those exhumed from various cemeteries.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in devastating consequences for Palestinians, with at least 39,623 people killed and 91,469 wounded since the war began. The situation has been exacerbated by the severe constraints on medical facilities in Gaza, making it impossible to perform DNA tests on the returned bodies for identification purposes.

The desecration of Palestinian bodies has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation from human rights groups and international organizations.
