UN Experts Condemn Israel's "Starvation Campaign" in Gaza, Blame Israeli Blockade for Child Deaths

United Nations experts have accused Israel of perpetuating a "starvation campaign" in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of innocent children due to severe malnutrition and lack of access to basic necessities.

Iran (IMNA) - In a statement, 10 UN experts declared that Israel's intentional blockade of Gaza has led to famine across the territory, warning that the situation is a form of "genocidal violence." They cited the recent deaths of five children, including Fayez Ataya, 6 months old, Abdulqader sl-Serhi, 13, Ahmad Abu Reida, 9, Yazan al-Kafarneh, 10, and a 2-month-old baby.

The experts slammed Israel's claims that their actions are necessary to maintain national security, calling instead for the international community to pressure the Israeli regime to lift its blockade and allow aid to enter Gaza. The UN has yet to officially declare a famine in Gaza, despite months of warnings from officials.

The Gaza government has also blamed Israel and the US administration for the ongoing crisis, calling for international pressure to force an end to the blockade and allow humanitarian aid to reach the besieged territory.
