Iran (IMNA) - Kan'ani attributed the massacre to the inaction of international bodies, particularly the United Nations Security Council, in the face of Israel's atrocities in Gaza over the past eight months. He emphasized that the international community's failure to act against Israel's war crimes and violations of humanitarian regulations has encouraged the regime to continue its genocide of Palestinians.
Kan'ani also criticized the US and European states for supplying Israel with bombs and missiles and supporting its crimes, as evident in the slaughtered bodies of Palestinian citizens and children lying in blood at Nuseirat. He noted that innocent Palestinian people, especially children, are suffering from hunger, thirst, and lack of medicine and medical equipment due to the blockade on the Gaza Strip.
The Iranian spokesperson emphasized that Muslim countries have a heavy responsibility to stand united against Israel's acts of aggression and fulfill their human, moral, and Islamic responsibility. The situation in Gaza is a stark reminder of the ineffectiveness of international organizations and assemblies in defending Palestinian people, particularly women and children.
The latest violence in Gaza has resulted in at least 210 Palestinian deaths and over 400 injuries, with the Gaza government media office describing the Israeli military's actions as a "barbaric and brutal aggression" against Nuseirat camp. The war in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has already claimed the lives of at least 36,801 Palestinians, mostly children and women, and wounded 83,680 people. The Israeli regime's military onslaught enjoys unreserved support from its Western allies, including the United States and France.
