Iran Blames US, Europe for Ongoing Palestinian Tragedy, Calls for Halt to Support for Israel

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kan'ani has condemned the unwavering support of the United States and Europe for Israel, stating that a complete end to such support is the only way to stop the ongoing tragedy in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Iran (IMNA) - Kan'ani emphasized that the crimes of the apartheid Israeli regime against Palestinian civilians, particularly women and children, are "clear to everyone in the world" and that only a practical halt to US and European support can put an end to the violence and suffering.

The comments come as reports emerge of at least 15 people killed in Israeli bombing targeting several areas in central Gaza since early hours of Friday. On Thursday, at least 40 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded when the Israeli military bombed a school of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in Nuseirat refugee camp. The UN says 6,000 displaced people were sheltering inside the building when it was hit without warning.

The majority of casualties and victims are reportedly children, women, and elderly people. Palestinians have been appealing to the world for help, but UN resolutions are not being implemented for Israel, leading to accusations of hypocrisy. The conflict has resulted in at least 36,654 Palestinian deaths, mostly women and children, and 83,309 injuries, with over 1.7 million people internally displaced during the war.
