Iran Urges Muslim Nations to Act Against Israeli Genocide in Gaza

Iran's Interim Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani has called on Muslim countries to utilize their capacities to put an end to the Israeli regime's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to the war-torn region.

Iran (IMNA) - This comes as Israel continues to commit war crimes in Gaza, killing at least 36,586 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring over 83,000 others since the start of the aggression on October 7.

In a phone call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Wednesday, Bagheri Kani warned against the consequences of Israel's continued atrocities in Gaza and the southern city of Rafah. He emphasized the importance of holding more talks between Tehran and Cairo aimed at restoring relations based on mutual respect and common interests.

Shoukry confirmed that the two countries have held constructive talks aimed at resuming relations and that Cairo has been working to stop Israel's war in Gaza and prepare the ground for the dispatch of aid to the Strip. The top Iranian and Egyptian diplomats agreed to continue consultations on ways to promote relations and end Israel's crimes against the people of Palestine in Gaza.

Bagheri Kani also urged Muslim countries to make the utmost use of their capacities to end the Israeli regime's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the war-ravaged Strip.
