The delegation was returning from a ceremony in which they had inaugurated a dam alongside Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.
In response to the loss, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei declared a 5-day mourning period in Iran, with millions of people across various cities participating in farewell ceremonies to honor the martyrs.
