Among the casualties were a mother and four children who tragically perished when their home in the Seyyedi district succumbed to severe flooding. Additionally, two individuals lost their lives after being trapped in a submerged vehicle at Enghelab (Revolution) Square.
Muhsin Zakiriyan, head of the Razavi Khorasan Red Crescent, reported that 12 individuals remained unaccounted for as search and rescue operations persisted through the night.
