Ayatollah Khamenei Calls for Increased Pressure on Israel to Defend Gaza

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has urged for intensifying pressure on the Israeli regime to prevent the issue of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip from being undermined.

Iran (IMNA) - In an address to a group of teachers and academics on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the issue of Gaza is currently the top global concern. He criticized the efforts by the Zionists and their American and European supporters to remove Gaza from the world's public agenda, saying that these attempts have been futile.

The Leader praised the pro-Palestine protests by students in American and European universities, emphasizing that the nations have become increasingly sensitive to the Gaza issue. He stressed the need to maintain the pressure on the Zionist regime and not allow the issue to be removed from the world's attention.

Ayatollah Khamenei also touched on the harsh treatment of student protesters by US police, which he said reinforced Iran's mistrust of America. He questioned how one could be optimistic about or trust a system that is complicit in the "horrific crime" and "unforgivable sin" against the Palestinian people.

The Leader reiterated that Palestine belongs to its "original owners" and that attempts to normalize ties with the Zionist regime will not resolve the problems in the West Asia region. He emphasized that the solution lies in returning Palestine to the Palestinian people, including Muslims, Christians, and Jews.
