Iran's Expo 2024 Showcases Country's Industrial Power and Cultural Diversity

The 6th export exhibition in Tehran, known as Iran Expo 2024, held from April 27 to May 1, is a golden opportunity for Iran to display and attract global customers for its goods and services, as well as introduce the country's culture, art, and scientific capabilities.

Iran (IMNA) - The exhibition, organized by the Trade Development Organization of the Ministry of Industry, Mining, and Trade, hosts more than 2,000 businessmen from 85 countries and over 2,500 political and economic officials from 119 countries around the world. It includes six production groups consisting of food, agriculture and fisheries; industry, handwoven carpets, handicrafts and tourism; medicine, medical equipment and laboratory equipment; chemicals; technical engineering services and petrochemicals.

According to Mehdi Zaighmi, head of the Trade Development Organization and Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade, Iran had received more than 3,500 requests from 103 countries for participation, but was only able to accommodate about 2,000 traders from 85 countries.

The expo is expected to generate more than $4 billion in trade agreements and contracts, a significant increase from the $450 million recorded last year. It also provides a unique platform to showcase Iranian culture and civilization to foreign participants, paving the way for the development of cultural and scientific diplomacy between Iran and other countries.

One of the key goals of the exhibition is national branding with a focus on attracting foreign investment and increasing Iran's influence and political relations. More than 200 investment packages have been prepared for offer to foreign investors, and business meetings with foreign investors have been included in the event's itinerary.

Another unique feature of the exhibition is the presence of more than 700 Iranian knowledge-based companies and the presentation of more than 1,500 knowledge-based products, creating a valuable opportunity to expand scientific diplomacy between Iran and target countries.

The organizers of the exhibition hope that the display of export potentials and Iranian companies will boost production and realize the "Surge in Production through People's Participation" slogan of the year, if the opportunities are properly exploited.
