Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, emphasizes his country's role as an island of stability and security amid the turmoil in West Asia.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking at a press conference with Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, Amir-Abdollahian highlights Iran's commitment to maintaining its national security.

In Muscat, Amir-Abdollahian addressed the recent Israeli attack on an Iranian consulate in Syria, stating that the United States cannot evade responsibility for the incident. The minister also underlines Iran's efforts to strengthen relations with neighboring countries to enhance security and development in the region.

Amir-Abdollahian expresses gratitude to Oman for its role in easing the impact of unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran in recent years. He also discusses plans to boost economic and trade ties between Iran and Oman, with a focus on private sector involvement.

The launch of the North-South transport corridor, connecting Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Oman via Iran, is seen as mutually beneficial for all parties involved. Lastly, both ministers agree on the necessity to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with Amir-Abdollahian thanking Oman for admitting wounded Gazans into its hospitals.
