"Iranian Leader Vows Retaliation for Syria attack; Quds Day to Unite Against Zionist Regime"

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has vowed that Israel will face consequences for an attack on the premises of the Iranian embassy in Syria's capital, Damascus.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking to Iranian administration officials on Wednesday, Khamenei stated that the assault would not save Israel from its defeat in Gaza, where it has been engaged in a near six-month-long aggression against Palestinians.

The Leader described the Israeli regime's actions as "cowardly" and promised that they would receive a "slap in the face" for their efforts. He emphasized that the Zionist regime's defeat in Gaza will continue, and the regime will approach collapse and demise.

Ayatollah Khamenei also highlighted that this year's Quds Day, commemorated on April 5 during the last Friday of Ramadan, will mobilize supporters of Palestine not only in Muslim countries but also in non-Muslim nations. He referred to the upcoming event as an "international revolt against the usurper Zionist regime."

The Leader condemned the Israeli regime's crimes in Gaza as "unprecedented in history," even causing outrage among those raised in Western culture. He pointed out that, despite enjoying military, financial, and political support from the United States, the Zionists failed to achieve their declared objectives in the war on Gaza since October.

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed hope for a day when Muslims can control the Holy Quds, pray there, and celebrate the annihilation of the usurping regime.

In his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei also touched upon Iran's economic situation, stating that the country is undertaking significant economic infrastructure projects that will yield benefits in the future. He acknowledged that Iran has experienced both "sweet and bitter" economic situations recently, requiring further improvement efforts.
