Iran (IMNA) - The region has been severely impacted by a devastating flood, prompting the leaders to prioritize assistance efforts. Additionally, they expressed gratitude towards the Iranian populace for their active participation in the recent nationwide elections that saw the election of new parliamentary and Assembly of Experts members. President Raeisi personally visited the affected areas in Sistan and Baluchestan Province last week to assess the government's response to the crisis and oversee the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure.
During his visit, he engaged with local officials and rescue teams, urging government agencies to escalate their humanitarian aid operations. "I have come to Sistan and Baluchestan to hold discussions on potential future floods and to assess the needs of flood victims," President Raeisi stated during his visit to Negur District on Tuesday afternoon. Over 200 relief teams have been deployed to the flood-affected regions of Sistan and Baluchestan to provide essential services to those in need.
