Iranian Leaders Call for Urgent Aid to Flood-Hit Sistan and Baluchestan Province

Iran's President Ebrahim Raeisi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei convened on Saturday to address pressing issues in the country, emphasizing the critical need to expedite the delivery of aid and relief to the flood-stricken Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran.

Iran (IMNA) - The region has been severely impacted by a devastating flood, prompting the leaders to prioritize assistance efforts. Additionally, they expressed gratitude towards the Iranian populace for their active participation in the recent nationwide elections that saw the election of new parliamentary and Assembly of Experts members. President Raeisi personally visited the affected areas in Sistan and Baluchestan Province last week to assess the government's response to the crisis and oversee the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure.
