Iran's President Calls U.S. "Axis of Evil" for Gaza Cease-fire Veto

President Ebrahim Raeisi of Iran criticized the United States on Wednesday, calling it the "axis of all evils" for vetoing UN Resolutions that sought a cease-fire in Gaza.

Iran (IMNA) - President Raeisi made these remarks during the closing ceremony of the 40th international Quran competition in Tehran.

Raeisi emphasized the importance of Islamic countries following the teachings of the Quran and Prophet Muhammad to prevent such actions by the U.S. Raeisi praised the resilience of the people of Gaza against Israeli aggression, noting their steadfastness aligns with the teachings of the Holy Quran.

Israel launched a war on Gaza on October 7 in response to the Palestinian Hamas resistance group conducting Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity. Since the offensive began, the Tel Aviv regime has reported killing thousands of Palestinians, with the majority being women and children, and causing widespread destruction throughout Gaza.
