Iran Cancels Entry Visas for Qatari Tourists, Aims to Strengthen Cooperation

In a significant development, Iran's Ambassador to Doha, Ali Salehabadi, announced on Sunday the implementation of the cancelation of entry visas for Qatari tourists.

Iran (IMNA) - This move is seen as a crucial step toward enhancing cooperation between the two nations, particularly in the field of tourism.

Ambassador Salehabadi emphasized that Iran and Qatar share numerous commonalities and strong economic bonds. By further expanding cooperation, both countries can secure their national interests and foster mutual growth.

Iran and Qatar Strengthen Economic Ties and Ease Travel Restrictions

During Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi's official visit to Doha in February, Iran and Qatar solidified their economic partnership by signing 14 significant cooperation agreements. Notably, the two nations reached an accord to eliminate visa requirements for travelers between them.

In related news, Alireza Bigdeli, Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary, and Iranian Expatriates Affairs, announced on Wednesday that Iran would soon waive the visa requirement for tourists from 28 countries. Effective February 4, citizens of these nations will no longer need visas to enter Iran. Instead, they can simply purchase a ticket to explore the country.
