Israeli Officials Accuse ICJ of "Antisemitic" Bias over Gaza Ruling

Israeli officials have responded strongly to a recent ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing the court of displaying "antisemitic" bias. The ruling, which pertains to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza, has sparked a heated debate.

In a statement, Israeli spokesperson Kan'ani criticized the ICJ's decision, stating that it revealed the foundation of the "Zionist regime" to be rooted in aggression and discrimination. Kan'ani further argued that the Israeli government does not recognize or uphold international legal norms and regulations.

The conflict between Israel and Gaza has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, following an operation conducted by Palestinian resistance groups. The situation in Gaza has been devastating, with over 26,000 Palestinians killed in the relentless onslaught, with women, children, and adolescents making up approximately 70 percent of the casualties. Additionally, more than 64,100 individuals have been injured.

Kan'ani Accuses US of Instrumentalizing International Judicial Mechanisms in Response to Genocide Allegations

In response to the United States' dismissal of the genocide allegations as "unfounded," Kan'ani, a spokesperson, criticized their attitude towards the ruling. He stated that the US administration's approach reflects their instrumentalization of international judicial mechanisms. Kan'ani further emphasized that the belated ruling by the ICJ serves as evidence of the bitter reality in Gaza, where international crimes, including genocide, persist with unlimited support from the US administration for the Zionist regime.
