Kwatra also commended Iran's prominent role in West Asia and reiterated India's commitment to providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
The commitment to strengthening bilateral relations was also emphasized during a phone conversation between President Ebrahim Raeisi of Iran and Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in August. Both leaders discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation, mutual collaboration, and maximizing the potential of the Chabahar Port.
President Raeisi specifically highlighted the need for increased cooperation in the fields of transit and energy security. He emphasized Iran's desire to foster regional convergence and develop economic relations with countries worldwide, particularly in Asia.
