Iran (IMNA) - During a meeting with a large number of students on the occasion of the National Student Day and the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the importance of the embassy takeover as a symbol of the Iranian people's resistance against American influence. He described it as a moment when the United States was disgraced and the Iranian nation struck a blow against America.
Ayatollah Khamenei also highlighted two other significant events that took place on November 4. In 1964, Imam Khomeini was forced into exile by the Americans, which caused harm to the Iranian nation. Additionally, in 1978, the former Pahlavi regime's police brutally massacred students in Tehran. These events further fueled the sentiment behind the embassy takeover.
The leader emphasized that the students' actions in capturing the embassy and revealing its secrets and confidential documents were a powerful statement of defiance against American interference. The takeover became a pivotal moment in Iran's revolutionary movement, serving as a reminder of the Iranian people's determination to resist foreign intervention.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has called on Muslim states to take action against the ongoing Israeli atrocities in Gaza. He urged them to impose sanctions on the Tel Aviv regime, halt oil and goods exports to the occupied territories, and condemn the Zionist regime. The Leader commended the Palestinians for their resilience and steadfastness in the face of these atrocities, emphasizing that it is crucial for Muslim states to demand an immediate end to the crimes committed in Gaza. He also stressed the importance of denouncing these catastrophes and crimes in international forums and mobilizing the entire Muslim world against the Zionist regime.
