Iranian Foreign Minister Calls for Immediate Halt to Israeli Massacre of Palestinians and Urges Aid Access

In a series of phone calls on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed Iran's unwavering support for the oppressed Palestinian people and called for an immediate halt to Israel's massacre of civilians.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking separately with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh and Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhaleh, Amir-Abdollahian stressed the need for Israel to open the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza to allow crucial aid to reach Palestinians who are facing severe shortages of basic necessities. He also condemned the forced displacement of people in the besieged Strip.

During the conversations, the leaders of the Palestinian resistance movements conveyed to the Iranian foreign minister that the enemy, referring to Israel, is incapable of breaking the will of the resistance front. As the heavy fighting with the Israeli regime enters its 17th consecutive day, Haniyeh commended Iran's dynamic Islamic diplomacy in support of the Palestinian people, highlighting the importance of clarifying the realities on the ground. He attributed the continuous crimes of the neo-Nazi regime to the United States' unequivocal support for Israel.

Emphasizing that Israel's brutal and indiscriminate attacks against defenseless Palestinians in Gaza only serve to underscore the regime's inability to counter the courageous struggle of the resistance fighters, Haniyeh stated that the resistance has dealt a significant strategic blow to the enemy. Despite the Zionist enemy's brutality, the resistance continues to control the momentum of the battle against the occupiers. Haniyeh warned that the scarcity of medicine and fuel supplies for hospitals could lead to a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Furthermore, Haniyeh highlighted that the ongoing Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by the resistance groups has successfully established a new strategic balance in the region. The resistance remains resolute in its determination to confront the occupation and assert Palestinian rights, despite the challenges posed by the Zionist enemy.
