Iran (IMNA) - The report further reveals that Iranian automakers produced 89,054 vehicles in the sixth Iranian month of Shahrivar, which ended on September 22. This figure represents a three-percent rise when compared to the same month in the previous year.
Passenger cars accounted for a large portion of the production, with a total of 545,180 units being manufactured during the aforementioned six-month period. This marks a significant 19% increase compared to the same period last year. Additionally, there was a notable growth of 44% in the production of various types of trucks.
Furthermore, the production of minibuses and middle buses saw a three-percent increase compared to the same period last year. Overall, these numbers reflect a positive trend in Iran's automotive industry.
It is worth mentioning that car manufacturing in Iran experienced a remarkable 39% growth in the previous Iranian calendar year (1401), with a total of 1,347,394 vehicles being manufactured during that time. The production of passenger cars alone reached 1,182,078 units, marking a significant 35% rise year on year.
Vans played a major role in the overall production, with 125,507 units being manufactured and showing a substantial growth of 56%. Furthermore, truck manufacturing witnessed a significant 150% rise, reaching a total of 34,136 units.
The manufacturing of buses also experienced growth, with 1,391 units produced and registering an 88% increase. Similarly, minibuses and middle buses saw a growth of 11%, with a total of 1,118 units being manufactured.
Lastly, motorcycle production in the previous year reached approximately 450,000 units, showing a notable 61.2% rise compared to the previous year. These statistics demonstrate the continuous development and expansion of Iran's automotive industry.
