Iran (IMNA) -Isfahan mayor, Ali Ghasemzade, noted that the festival's opening ceremony welcomed the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance as the main speaker. "One of the notable highlights of this year's festival is the active participation of filmmakers, " he said.
The mayor of Isfahan highlighted the increased involvement of children and teenagers in the 35th festival. He mentioned that 1000 journalists and judges specializing in children and teenagers are working at the festival, with guests from 40 countries attending. Additionally, a special group of guests has been invited to witness these competitions.
Furthermore, the mayor stated that in collaboration with the Department of Education, arrangements have been made for a thousand students to attend movie screenings daily. Special provisions have also been made for children and teenagers who are unable to visit the movie theater due to specific circumstances. The aim is to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festival.
To make the city more vibrant, the mayor emphasized the importance of using this opportunity to bring happiness to the children of Isfahan. In addition to organizing a high-quality film festival for children and teenagers, festival films will be screened at mobile stations in various neighborhoods of Isfahan. Furthermore, joyful programs will be performed at two hospitals, Imam Hossein (AS) and Omid, to bring joy to those suffering from illness.
Referring to the Iranian Youth Filmmaking Olympiad, the mayor of Isfahan said, "This event took place a few years ago, but this year it has experienced significant quantitative and qualitative improvements, and registration has already begun. Children and teenagers now have the opportunity to register their works until 4th November, 2023."
He further mentioned, "It is anticipated that we will organize the Olympiad of short film production this winter."
