Iranian president made visit to Isfahan to  inspect, inaugurate government projects

President Ebrahim Raeisi visited the province of Isfahan on Friday and made a significant announcement regarding the water transfer project. During his visit, he ordered the launch of the second phase of the project, which aims to transfer water from the Sea of Oman to the central Iranian province.

Iran (IMNA) - The President had the opportunity to inspect the first phase of the water transfer project, which involves the transportation of 70 million cubic meters of water from the Sea of Oman to Isfahan. Impressed by the progress made in the initial phase, President Raeisi gave the green light to commence the second phase of the project.

In the second phase, a staggering 400 million cubic meters of water will be transferred from the Sea of Oman to Isfahan. This ambitious endeavor is being carried out through a 980 km long pipeline. Currently, 520 km of the pipeline has been released, 420 km have been excavated, and 214 km have been successfully piped.

It is worth mentioning that President Raeisi and his cabinet regularly embark on visits to different provinces throughout the country. These visits serve multiple purposes, including engaging with the public by personally listening to their demands. Additionally, such visits allow the President and his team to inspect ongoing government projects and inaugurate completed ones in various provinces.

The water transfer project from the Sea of Oman to Isfahan is of great importance for the region, as it will help address water scarcity and contribute to the development and prosperity of the province. The launch of the second phase signifies a major milestone in this vital undertaking, bringing hope and progress to the people of Isfahan.
