Iran (IMNA) - The old liberal order, which served the interests of imperialists and insatiable capitalists, has been disregarded. Raeisi highlighted that thanks to the Islamic Revolution, Iran takes pride in playing a significant role in exposing the imperialists from both the East and the West.
Regarding Iran's regional and international policy, President Raeisi mentioned that Iran has initiated a new phase of mutually beneficial relations with its neighboring countries. He described Iran's neighborly policy as one that seeks to benefit the region, expressing openness to any friendly gesture extended towards them. The president affirmed Iran's support for maximum economic and political cooperation within and between regions, aspiring to interact with the entire world based on principles of justice.
Regarding the desecration of the Holy Qur'an in Sweden and Denmark earlier this year, the President expressed condemnation. He emphasized that the Qur'an prohibits disrespecting ideas and beliefs, questioning what could better define humanity and elevate human values than the word of God Almighty.
The President highlighted that this was not the first instance of burning God's words, but despite such acts, the teachings of the Qur'an would never be destroyed. He affirmed that the flames of insult and distortion would never overpower the truth.
Raeisi stated that Islamophobia takes various forms, including the burning of the Holy Qur'an and the prohibition of Islamic dress codes in schools. He argued that these instances amount to promoting hatred and cautioned against dismissing them as merely exercising freedom of speech. According to him, there is a larger agenda behind such acts of hatred.
Furthermore, Raeisi criticized certain powers for trying to divide the international community into old blocs, maintaining a Cold War mentality. He believed that this reactionary approach harms the security and welfare of nations. The President firmly expressed the Islamic Republic's belief that the formation of new East and West divisions across the world should be prevented, especially during a time when independent countries are striving for greater cooperation and convergence.
